All

How about a thread on favorite loads using Keith bullets?  Here is mine:

357 mag
170 gr. Keith bullet from a Lyman mould, cast from half linotype and half pure lead
6.5 gr Unique
Win brass
Win primers

This is the most accurate load I have found for my 6" Model 19 and works well in my Ruger DA.

Elmers load was 14 grains of 2400, with a remington primer, behind his bullet. This should be sized 1 to 2 thousanths larger than cylinder mouth diameter, so it alignes with the barrel perfectly. Use a good bullet lube, with graphite in it, and enjoy.
I found the 173 grain bullet very accurate, and deadly. Have fun.

I use many Keith bullets from over the counter and custom molds.
I guess my favorite is .41 - 215 k  & 18.3 grains W-296
I use that load in my S&W M-57 Mtn. Gun  & My Marlin 1894 FG  .41 mags.
When I bought the guns I liked them enough to spend some money on them, and make 'em better.
I sent the Smith to the Performance Center and  had them work it over.
Sent the Marlin to Andy Horvath and let him work his magic on it.
They are now both pieces anyone would be should be happy with.
I shot up a lot of lead and powder to find a load they both like.
I'm getting 1250 FPS from the 4" Smith  with 1.5" groups @80 Ft., and 1700 FPS from the Marlin with 2.50" groups @ 100 yds. using Marbles tang sight.

These have worked for me:
1. 38 Special=173K, 5 gr. Unique
2. 357 Mag=173K, 5.5 gr. WW231/HP38 [target]
3. 357 Mag=173K, 15 gr. H110
4. 44 Special=L429421, 15 gr. 2400
5. 44 Mag=L429421, 20 gr. 2400
6. 45 Colt=BC1101, 7 gr. WW231/HP38
7. 45 Colt=BC1101, 16 gr. 2400
8. 45 Colt=BC1101, 20 gr. 2400

BC=Ballisti Cast
Have loaded and sold thousands of 44 mags using either the Lyman 429421 or Ballisti Cast 1103 bullet and 23 gr. of H110 which is a favorite of Ross Seyfried.

Of the above loads we've used No.5 most. It is very accurate for very far and does 1201 FPS from my 4" M-29.
