So.......I found a picture of the Beretta Schofield 45LC in what looks like stainless or nickel. Dang it's purty! Anybody have experience with this or any other schofield knockoff. I love my revolvers, but it seems nobody makes a nice one anymore, at least not one a working man can afford. Used Smiths are just getting more expensive every day!!
Just thought I'd start something....

Have you thought about Uberti they seem to make a lot of working replicas. They arent bad priced, I had a colt replica of theirs and it was a good shooter. Don't get me wrong I like the schofield but I noticed you wrote no one makes a fine revolver anymore for a reasonable price have you seen any of the Heritage line of revolvers I think they have excellent lock-up, One of the local gun dealers is a SASS member and that is what he has along with two other colts. He says they shoot good. Now only that but they are reasonably priced in our neck of the woods, I can pick one up for 379.00 of course that is our local gunshop price.

I guess what I'm referring to is the double action line. I realize, as you pointed out, that there are a few single actions , but it just seems to me that any quality has gone out of the production lines. Remember the Gold Cup? My 25-5? Just feeling nostalgic.
Yeah, I'm going to look at the Uberti, I had one of their s/a in 45lc, I have a Ruger stainless as my everyday piece, 45LC.

New member as of today.
I just saw a Beretta Schofield in a local Pawn shop last week. I had to force myself away from it.
I was lucky enough to score on a good buy on a NM BH 45 Colt for 300 bucks. I just got it Monday. 32 oz. trigger and the cylinder has been reamed by cylindersmith.

The Berreta replica is closer to the S&W new model #3 than the Schofield. Uberti is now ownder by Berreta and both companies make great guns. Around here Uberti schofields go for around 800$. Good luck |
