Finally have the time to start casting. Started with the Lyman 429421. One side was .427 the other .428. Good thing I only cast 600 before miking them. I was getting 247 grn though. Sent that one back and replaced with RCBS 44-250-K. Diameter is good but am getting 262 grn. Thats ok with me the more the merrier. Where should I start with 2400 and where should I stop? Need to get a chrono after I explain the cost of casting equip to the wife. Also casting for my 460 Guns and Ammo 535 grn Rcbs mould. Thanks Don

howdy.
I used to only use 2400 in my 44 mag, but then I got to wanting lighter loads so tryed some others.
If you want hot loads 2400 is still a good choice.
Speer #13 shows 18 to 20 for 250 gn cast.
start maybe down 1 gn cause your bullet is heavier.
if you havent already, get a loading manual or 2 or 3.
good luck,,,ace
