Welcome Aboard. Seems like the server is running a little off today, probably the result of a attack by the N Koreans. Hope it hasn't made your registration process to painful. I appreciate being made a member of this forum. I am just now 70 years old; still very active and just about as good as I was 20 years ago. Growing older is a scary thing. I have been a lot of places, had a lot of good times and don't intend to slow down for a long time. I bought my first Ruger .44 Mag Super Blackhawk in 1961 and my first S&W 29 in 1962. I have owned several of them since then and shot a lot of them. I once talked to Elmer Keith over the telephone just to say to myself I had asked him a question. I own all of his books. My two favorite handguns right now are a .45 ACP 1911 and a .357 Mag DA revolver. I live on a farm in Oklahoma and do a lot of work online for two agricultural commodity groups. I also travel some with my job. I am grateful for good health and the chance to continue to work, even though I draw SS. I have cattle and horses and still enjoy riding a good horse. Being an American and able to live as a free Christian man is a wonderful gift.

Welcome to the forum Sir, Nice introduction of yourself. I see you bought your first .44 in 1961, Thats the year I was born ! I bought my first handgun for my 21st birthday in 1982 and it was also Ruger Super Blackhawk with a 7 1/2" bbl. I wish I still had it, but I sent it off to J.D. Jones at SSK and had a 2x scope welded on as he does them. He did a great job, but a scope in my opinion, doesn't belong on a revolver as I found out as I've grown older. I now shoot a Ruger S.S. Redhawk 5 1/2 " bbl. in .44 Mag & love it. Good to have you here ! Chris from PA. |
