marksman45b Registered: 07/18/09 Posts: 7 | 09/30/09 at 04:09 PM When Elmer was inspecting arms for the goverment during WW2 did he have a proof stamp? if so which arms will one find them on? Springfield armory had one "GHD" stamped on some Victory models. |

marksman45b Registered: 10/02/09 Posts: 74 | 10/05/09 at 01:23 PM I am rereading the book again to find it in there, I spoke to an old gunsmith and he told me that the stamp was just the initials "EMK" no crown or crest also he said that I might find the marks on reissued 1903`s and 1917 enfield`s on the left side of the stock and not in the metal receiver or barrel he also told me Elmer did not inspect garands. |
