I have noticed a mark on the front of the crane that has come from the ejector rod shroud, it looks like it happened during firing as the mark dosn`t look like a scrape, on the shroud there's`s a shinny spot where contact was made. The cylinder still locks up good and tight no movement in yoke to frame. Could this happen firing the heavy factory loads in the S&W500 or 460 or could it be a mark showing that someone down the line "cowboyed the cylinder shut" flipping the weight of the cylinder against the frame snapping it closed. Reason why I ask is I am going to send the gun out for a camo job and am looking it all over for places that the camo may be damaged after it`s been applied I plan on polishing out the mark on the crane and removing the shinny mark on the shroud but will it return after firing the big kickers from the factory? There`s a few X framers out there can you look at your guns and see if mine is an isolated problem or the normal passage into use. Thanks. __________________ Keep Busting Caps |
