Congrats again The Bullets tell the tale the Horndays look good for there performance, the Winchester bullet is a great example of what a bullet SHOULD look like after travailing thru the boar or any other big heavy skinned animal finding it on the off side of the shot under the skin is the BEST load for a given kill shot, imagine if you had a super fast camera on the boar at the time of the shot, the stretching of the skin outward to retain that slug inside of the hide. It could be another boar hunt in my future that big 500 S&W might be a fair choice to tote along. James have you ever taken a boar with a lead cast slug? Thanks again for the pictures of the slugs and yardages. Ever had one chase you up a tree? I use to work for a gun store a had a customer come in and buy a Thunder Five ( 5 shot 45-70 revolver) after being chased up a tree, he hit the boar with a 300 win mag but I don`t know where he hit it but when he did it swung around came for him, in the excitement he dropped his rifle to get a grip on the tree and if he had a handgun he wouldn`t have had to wait for his buddy to come and finish the boar so he could get down, ah live and learn thanks again. __________________ Keep Busting Caps |
