I spoke to J.D.Jones awhile back, and mentioned the Magmatic. He remembered it well. I beleive he told me the person that made it only made 2 and never got the backing for financing a company. No call for a semi auto 44 mag at the time. He told me how it operated, very similar to the Magnum research. But it was very trim, looked like a 22 Woodsman on steriods. The grip was too far from the rear to the front to make good purchase for the shooting hand. But it would have been great, and we need something like this now, more than ever. Make it affordable, blued, with wood grips.
Blued guns are stronger than stainless, and the actions can be made smoother. Wood grips always look better than plastic, or anything else, other than ivory.

I looked up Jon Powers in Warren Michigan, and here is what I found.
