Excellent reading for the beginner or the advanced. Just to show how advanced Elmer was, and still is. I wish I could find out what powder charge he was using to get 1600 fps. I NEED THAT KIND OF PERFORMANCE. I have rogue cans around, with the occasional man eating groundhog. Seriously, this is what modern handgunning is about, taking animals humanly and quickly, with minimum suffering. This is one solution to the problem.
Doug Wesson killed every type of big game on the North American continent with the 357, with one shot apeice,I believe, so it has prooven itself in the field. It is the Ammo companies, and Government that downloaded it to hot 38 specs, so it was not as dangerous. (REALLY) They also downloaded the 44 magnum, and the 41. Check the books now,and check old books.
Thank you for the article. You have done us all a service.
