After showing the revolver to three gunsmiths(none were sure) the opinion is that the mark came from closing the cylinder with forward pressure, meaning that when the cylinder was being closed the pressure was toward the muzzle and not to the frame. This is a first for me I have been using revolvers since 1964 but this is my first X frame, polishing out the mark isn`t an issue also removing a touch at the bottom of the barrel shroud should keep it from happening again. __________________ Keep Busting Caps |
