A few photos of past trip to South Africa where the guns I brought were a Ruger m-77 mk-2 in 416 Rigby and a Freedom Arms 454 Casull. I used the 416 to take most of the game which was loaded with Federals factory ammo using Trophy Bonded 400gr softpoints and solids. The 454 used Cor-Bons
320gr jacketed solid ammo. The 416 had no trouble taking game from impala up to Cape buffalo. The buff was a little young and soft in the boss but I had no complaints. The first shot with a 400gr SP, I found out later upon skinning, was through the heart and I followed up with three solids and one more when he was down. Tough animal.... The 416 had a muzzle brake ,installed by Mag-na-port, after the scope busted me over the eye in practice. The female impala taken with the 454 was for hyenia bait. Never took heynia..but got a nice blesbok and kudu with the Casull.....
