Does anyone,anywhere have any load data for a 460G&A? I'm having the dies made, just need some load data.I have become a fan of Barnes bullets however, I don't get a reply to e-mails or phone messages. Anyone got any 404 jeffery brass just laying around? Thanks Don

good evening all,
I was wondering where the name came from for these 45-70 530gn.? semi pointed bullets, don't think it has to do with the U S mail.
just traded and got H&R Buffalo Clasic to go with Target 38-55.
I want to use black powder in the 45-70, I have a can of Goex Cartridge.
I also have some 530 grainers to try. What would be the lightest bullets that would work with black powder?
sure be nice if i could get to sleep tonite, but that's the way it is sometimes.

How about a thread on favorite loads using Keith bullets? Here is mine:

357 mag

170 gr. Keith bullet from a Lyman mould, cast from half linotype and half pure lead

6.5 gr Unique

Win brass

Win primers

This is the most accurate load I have found for my 6" Model 19 and works well in my Ruger DA.

I have been using Elmers loads for years, with no problems. Now the reloading books are telling me I blew my self up long ago. I think there is a problem in the woodpile, and I think it has something to do with Lawyers,Government, and companies putting out junk guns.
22 grains of 2400 works REAL WELL with a RCBS K-250 bullet sized 431, and lubed with bullet lube that has had lots of graphite put in it. Just like Elmer did.
God I miss him. He kept them all straight.

Long range loads

My 44(Ruger) loads are 22.5 gr. H110 with a 240 gr. jacketed bullet.
My 5" Smith kicks to hard with these so I loaded 18.5 gr. 2400 with Rainier 240. Petr and I tried a couple dozen of these in his short barrel Taurus.
I thought they were easier on the hands.
What do you like?
