The latest from Hussein OBama is that he will not pursue re-enactment of the assault weapon ban. DO NOT BELIEVE HIM he cannot be trusted we cannot let our guard up. Whether or not you own this type of weapon you need to be concerned its just the start. An armed American is not in the long term interest for what these socialist have in mind for our country!

I'm pretty sure an AWB is coming down the pike. This whole overblown thing about the mexican drug cartels getting their guns from the US is just Pelosi/ Clinton/ Obama et all laying the groundwork. The last time the AWB was inacted it cost the libs the house (and the senate if I remember correctly), maybe a silver lining, and it really did not have much effect, other then a short price bump for some selected weapons and hi caps. Something to remember, the Import ban inacted by Bush 41 was in effect then and is still in effect. The guns are already here legally, and I don't believe they will be able to get any language in the bill to limit ownership of legally owned weapons. What their real goal (I'm guessing) is is to use the bailout money as leverage to pressure the states into inacting California/ Mass/ NY type restrictions and closing the gun shows. All the "US Guns for Mexican drugs" retoric seems to me to be laying the groundwork for that and the AWB is just a diversionary tactic. (If you can believe they are that smart!) Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be..... __________________ “If it rolls, floats, flies or shoots, runs on gasoline or gunpowder, goes fast or shoots a big bullet and makes lots of noise, thus producing torque and recoil — it’s cool.”

I am totally against giving an inch to these people. But I have to admit I would not have a problem with gun show back ground checks. The shows sponsors could provide the service.

I am against giving an inch myself, just analizing the facts before me. as far as background checks at the shows, the dealers already do that, and the rest are private sales. So technically, when big brother says "Gun show Loophole" they really mean "Private Sales Loophole" If big brother gave private citizens FREE access to the same service the dealers pay for with their license fees, fine, although then they will have a record of every transferred gun in the US. For this to work they would next need to know where every gun is before it is transferred, for assurance the rules are followed. If there is a fee associated, guess who decides what that fee is? The same people who are systematically driving the small dealers out of buisness with outrageous fees? I'm sure we'll get a fair shake from them. I believe there will be some form of an AWB in the next 2 years. I hope not, but am facing the facts. I also think it is a smoke screen to hide the "Private Sales" restrictions and "Universal registration" that if they have their way, are just around the corner. Just my $0.02 __________________ “If it rolls, floats, flies or shoots, runs on gasoline or gunpowder, goes fast or shoots a big bullet and makes lots of noise, thus producing torque and recoil — it’s cool.”

Absolutely amazing that when the Democrats get in we have more troubles caused by firearms then we ever knew about. The media chimes right in too. Good "team players", one lies and the other builds on it. Maybe we need some legislation passed controlling misuse of the first amendment. Falsely reporting news and biasing news coverage, can cause harm to society, sway election results, and ruin the economy. A federal reporters license complete with background checks, yearly renewal fees, license to operate microphones, cameras, and keyboards. Concealed camera permits could be allowed in some areas. This would keep Nancy Pelosi busy the rest of her career.
All joking aside, I'd love to see the media's reaction to a proposal like that. You would hear cries across the country about how their rights are about to be violated. Yet those very people condone and promote that very thing on the second amendment.
Trust Obama? right! Just as far as I can toss a piano, not an inch more. The whole guns and Mexico thing is just a hidden agenda to pass more gun control laws. Want to actually stop illegal trafficking across the border? Secure the borders! What a novel idea. That would be too simple, too effective, and would not promote their agenda. The Great Wall of China was built thousands of years ago for a reason, so was Adrian's Wall. If the Chinese and Romans could do it with hand tools we should be able to with modern machinery.

We have a local sales network here in Tn. where you can post almost anything for sale, arrange a deal then meet in person and make the transaction. Until last week there were more firearms on the site than anything. Than we got up one morning last week and they had all been removed .
I would'nt doubt if that's how whatever hussein and co. does, goes down. We'll get up one morning and they'll be telling us about the new laws or taxes , or both. All by executive order.

A friend sent this today, I hope it all copies to here, it's worth reading.
Lou Pritchett on Obama
The author, Lou Pritchett, is a well-known public speaker who retired after a successful 36-year career as the VP World Sales for Proctor and Gamble.
Foremost Leader in Change Management
Lou Pritchett is one of corporate America's true living legends - an acclaimed author, dynamic teacher and one of the world's highest rated speakers. Successful corporate executives everywhere recognize him as the foremost leader in change management. Lou changed the way America does business by creating an audacious concept that came to be known as "partnering." Pritchett rose from soap salesman to Vice-President, Sales and Customer Development for Procter and Gamble and over the course of 36 years, made corporate history.
AN OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT OBAMA
Dear President Obama:
You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike any of the others, you truly scare me.
You scare me because after months of exposure, I know nothing about you.
You scare me because I do not know how you paid for your expensive Ivy League education and your upscale lifestyle and housing with no visible signs of support.
You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of youth growing up in America and culturally you are not an American.
You scare me because you have never run a company or met a payroll.
You scare me because you have never had military experience, thus don't understand it at its core..
You scare me because you lack humility and 'class', always blaming others.
You scare me because for over half your life you have aligned yourself with radical extremists who hate America and you refuse to publicly denounce these radicals who wish to see America fail.
You scare me because you are a cheerleader for the 'blame America' crowd and deliver this message abroad.
You scare me because you want to change America to a European style country where the government sector dominates instead of the private sector.
You scare me because you want to replace our health care system with a government controlled one.
You scare me because you prefer 'wind mills' to responsibly capitalizing on our own vast oil, coal and shale reserves.
You scare me because you want to kill the American capitalist goose that lays the golden egg which provides the highest standard of living in the world.
You scare me because you have begun to use 'extortion' tactics against certain banks and corporations.
You scare me because your own political party shrinks from challenging you on your wild and irresponsible spending proposals.
You scare me because you will not openly listen to or even consider opposing points of view from intelligent people.
You scare me because you falsely believe that you are both omnipotent and omniscient.
You scare me because the media gives you a free pass on everything you do.
You scare me because you demonize and want to silence the Limbaughs, Hannitys, O'Relllys and Becks who offer opposing, conservative points of view.
You scare me because you prefer controlling over governing.
Finally, you scare me because if you serve a second term I will probably not feel safe in writing a similar letter in 8 years.
Lou Pritchett
