During one of my relentless internet scowerages. Found it over at lonely machines blog. Trying to track a photo of one of Mr. Keith's revolvers. Squib load. Ouch. I'd probably develop a nasty flinch after this.

Al, Pretty interesting. Was there another bullet lodged in the barrel for this to happen ? I've heard in the past that a squib can cause this to happen, but I couldn't figure out how. Thanks. Chris |

Hello, Len. Not sure. Internet photo. Look like they could be Ahrends, near as I can tell. AL __________________ “If it rolls, floats, flies or shoots, runs on gasoline or gunpowder, goes fast or shoots a big bullet and makes lots of noise, thus producing torque and recoil — it’s cool.”

Re-read the story, shooter was shooting corbon magnum ammo, then swiched to corbon 44 special, so didn't notice the lack of recoil and bang when firing the shot after the squib. Even quality manufactured ammo will have a bad round in the box every now and then. (If you consider COrbon "Quality") __________________ “If it rolls, floats, flies or shoots, runs on gasoline or gunpowder, goes fast or shoots a big bullet and makes lots of noise, thus producing torque and recoil — it’s cool.”

(Not to brag or anything) Only ammo I buy is 22LR, reload the rest. Had about 1 squib in 15 years .22 Hornet .223 .308 Win .300 Win Mag 7.62X39 .338 Win Mag .340 WBY 9MM/ 9MM Mag .38/.357 Mag (405 Win Coming soon) .40 SW .44 Sp/ Mag .45 ACP .45 Colt/ .45 Colt Mag/ .454 Casull 45/70 Probably missed something.
5.56, 454, .223, .308, .22 hornet
.38/.357, 9MM, .308 case trimmer, .338/ .340, 40SW
.45 Colt, 45/70, .45 ACP, 7.62
An organized, tidy reloading bench. Imperative for quality reloads.
