I just noticed Taffin's article on the 45 acp for revolver and some load info on the 450 Marlin. Both of these were extremely helpful especially the 45 acp revolver info as I am loading for  a 25-2 Jovino, a 325 Thunder Ranch and a 625-2. while I am using Ar cases I was looking for a variety of ideas and loads thank you John and Al for making this info available.

Your welcome. I think I'd been visiting sixguns for quite a few years, saw some posts on other forums by Mr. Taffin repeatedly pointing out that it wasn't his site, that a friend of his built it in the "old days" and then later sold it. There were several times in the past when Sixguns couldn't be accessed, or shut down, kind of hit or miss.
Well, it seemed to me that the body of information contained in Sixguns was to valuable to loose, and I started my quest. Fast forward to today and not only is the previous work secure on our Elmer Keith server, but Mr Taffin is again contributing to the site created to consolidate his work many years ago. If you want to thank him personally use the Sixguns Guestbook, you are sure to get a response.
RE: The 45 ACP Sixgun loading article you mentioned. I have a 45 ACP cylinder for my Ruger 3 screw Blackhawk, you can bet I'll be re-reading that article before I sit down to load anymore for said revolver.

Thanks--
Al

Ps: I would still like to get some other contributors, if you know any bug 'em a bit...

Hi Al,

Yeas ago I wrote with the help of a real writer a couple of African articles for a long defunct hunting magazine Ill see if I can dig them up and post them on Six gunner.

My wife also wrote an article never published on an African handgun hunt with the then new US Arms 375. If you have read Lee Martins history on the Seville and US Sporting Arms he mentions the hunt but not her by name. Her photo with an extremely large bodied kudu was used in the US Arms ads.

Forward them along. I still have about 5 more articles from Mr. Taffin to post, as soon as I am done reading them. Another writer by the name of  Myers has also offered some work.
Thanks--
Al

Len, Hope you can post that article on your wifes handgun hunt as I would love to read it. I used my FA 454 to take a kudu using Cor-Bob`s 320gr
JFP ammo. They are a beautiful animal.......James

I found the original draft but have not had a chance to go over it with Susan. Attached is the kudu photo that was used in Seville ads and my Peterson's Hunting ads during the mid 80's The person with her was the PH. The handgun was the 1st .375 Seville taken to Africa
