Anyone else here upset with the quality coming out of S&W today? I bought a new 442 had lock trouble disposed of it at a loss as it was meant for concealed carry.  Just bought a 325 Thunder Ranch from their Performance shop it is very inaccurate very poor finish. Going forward I am sticking with their old models 1980's and older. Also for a few bucks more I can buy a custom gun built and finished properly, the 325TR retails @ $1,400.00 I paid about a $1,000.00 just not worth it!

I got into their old guns too out of nostalgia. With mild or medium loads they'll last a lot longer than I will. Right now a 5 screw 28 is getting an early 4" 44 mag barrel and a 44 mag cylinder for an all-purpose shooter at a fraction of the cost of an original.
